Janie Williams

Janie is the owner and director of Stars Dance Studio. She started dancing at the age of 3 and has been dancing ever since. She has taken classes in many different areas of dance to include Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Hip Hop, Country Line Dancing, Ballroom, and many others. She has been teaching dance for almost 25 years. Janie has judged numerous dance competitions and pageants, along with serving on the board of local cheer and dance competitions helping to promote dance in Alaska. Janie has also donated her studio to help out local cheer organizations throughout the community.
| Sadie Davis
Sadie started dancing at the age of 3. She has trained with Sharron Peek School of Dance, Janice Renee Dance School and Dancers' Workshop in Alaska. She has studied Classical Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Tap and Pointe. She has also taken many workshops and performed with Alaska Dance Theater, Oregon Ballet Theater, Australian Dance, and many guest choreographers throughout her youth. When she turned 18 she started teaching. She has taught for Dancers' Workshop, Children's Dance Theater, and is currently the primary ballet teacher at Stars Dance Studio.
| Michelle Wilkins
Michelle teaches Hip Hop and Jazz. She has been dancing since she was 3 years old and joined Stars Dance Studio when she was 10 years old and has blossomed into an excellent dancer, choreographer, and teacher. She has won numerous awards to include Miss Thunderbird 2003, Miss Chugiak-Eagle River 2004, and she is the current Miss Birchwood 2007 and Miss Anchorage 2007. She was an assistant teacher from ages 12 to 18 and has been teaching and doing choreography for the top teams for three years. She has done the choreography for schools, music videos, and television commercials. Michelle loves a challenge and strives 110%, which makes her an easy individual to work with. Her true passion for dance inspires others and allows her to expand her knowledge in the dance world.
| Tonya Hannah
Tonya started dancing at Stars when she was just 10 years old. She started with the All Stars and moved up to the Elite Team within a few short years. She danced with Stars for nine years before going to college at the University of Nevada, Reno to study ballet. She later married and came back to Alaska and started working full time for the Alaska Railroad and attended college at the University of Alaska Anchorage. She began teaching with Stars in 2007 with the All Stars Competition Team, Little Stars Competition Team, All Stars, and Mini Stars.
| Maryann DeAngelis
Maryann DeAngelis has been an instructor for 13 years in jazz, tap, lyrical, musical theatre, stretch and strength, tumbling and acrobatics at many different studios in Louisiana, Florida and Arizona, as well as a guest instructor in Los Angeles, Texas, New York and China. Maryann is the former Director / Owner of Dance Fusion in Arizona. Now residing in Florida, she has worked at Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Capones and more! She appeared in the American Idol movie "From Justin to Kelly" and also in a celebration for Kelly Clarkson in Texas. Maryann has been an assistant on numerous conventions, such as Tremaine, Dance Caravan, Dance Olympus and has also had the honor of assisting Mia Michaels and Paula Abdul. She has danced at the Edge in LA and the Broadway Dance Center in NYC, both on scholarship. She has also worked in artist development with up-coming recording artists in Orlando. Her choreography has won top honors at Regional and National competitions for the past 8 years. Her style & energy have made her one of the most sought after master class teachers today. You can find her currently teaching full time at studios in Orlando, working with aspiring musical artists, as well as choreographing for shows in some very popular nightclubs in Orlando.
